Airline industry expected to remain cash negative throughout 2021 — IATA

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — The airline industry is expected to remain cash negative throughout 2021, with estimated cash burn ranging between US$75 billion (RM303.1 billion) to US$95 billion (RM383.9 billion) from a previously anticipated US$48 billion (RM193.9 billion), according to the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) latest analysis.

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 28 — The airline industry will not be able to slash costs sufficiently to neutralise severe cash burn and avoid bankruptcies and preserve jobs in 2021, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
